Laboratory Certified in the US and EU
The active ingredients in Microbecide® spray and gel are silver ions in solution (US EPA registration number 70404-9). Microbecide® health defense claims are based on challenge tests designed to determine the kill activity of an antimicrobial agent against specific microorganisms.

The tests were performed by recognized independent laboratories under official AOAC (Association of Official Analytical Chemists) procedures and in accordance with Good Laboratory Practices and protocols.

Testing in the US was conducted in accordance with U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (U.S. EPA) regulations. Testing in the EU was conducted according to the European Standard EN 1040 (Chemical disinfectants and antiseptics / Basic bactericidal activity / Test method and requirements phase 1).

24 Hour "Active Surface" Kill Barrier
The residual activity of Microbecide® was tested against Staphylococcus aureus, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Salmonella choleraesuis. 24 hours after application to a hard non-porous surface

Test results showed a 99.99% reduction in all three bacteria tested 24 hours after initial application.
